Faculty Seminar on Secondary School Principals' Day

About 150 principals and teachers from over 80 secondary schools took part in the 13th HKBU Secondary School Principals’ Day organised by the Academic Registry yesterday (28 January 2015). With the theme of “Future Leaders 2020”, the event sought to enhance the discussion between the secondary school sector and the University on the attributes of a future leader and how educators could unleash the potential of students and groom them for roles as future leaders.  At a plenary session, Dr Leung Wing-tai, General Secretary of Breakthrough Ltd gave a keynote speech while three elite HKBU alumni who excel in different disciplines shared how they applied their learning experiences at the University for personal development, which equipped them for their roles as young leaders of today.

In this connection, the Faculty also organised a seminar titled "Think Globally - Act Locally - Cultivating a Glocalized Generation" as a parraell session for the day. The following staff colleagues, students and graduate shared with visitors from their practical experiences on how to cultivate the new attribute of “think globally, act locally”, which is essential for the future development of this new generation.
