Student Yip Hok-chung awarded Bank of China Scholarship for Outstanding Student in Chinese History
Yip Hok-chung (Social Sciences, Year 1) was awarded the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Scholarship for Outstanding Student in Chinese History. Upon nomination by the Department of History, Hok-chung was selected as one of the 10 awardees in local universities based on his outstanding DSE result in Chinese History.
Hok-chung attended the award presentation ceremony on 30 November and received a scholarship worth HK$50,000.
Offered and donated by the Endeavour Education Centre Limited and the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited respectively, the Scholarship encourages more students to take Chinese History in secondary school and stimulates students' interest in the subject. In addition, it serves as an important recognition for students and aspires to support high-quality admissions for history departments in local universities. Freshmen who obtain 5** in DSE Chinese History are eligible to be nominated.
