My internship experiences as a Social Outreach Intern at a social enterprise - MicroForests via Social Sciences Internship provided me ample opportunities in understanding the business operation and practising real-workplace skills. Although the work burden was heavy sometimes, it equipped me with organization skills especially prioritizing the tasks and strengthened my ability in dealing with stress and challenges.

After encountering some difficulties at work, I experienced that practice makes perfect and I applied what I have learnt from the previous experiences for the tasks afterwards. Also, I have been trained to be more careful and always think one step ahead.

This internship experience not only deepened my understanding towards the real working world, but also inspired me in terms of personal growth. The most important thing I have learned in the internship is “Positivity”. If one is always negative, it is impossible to complete the task and strive for personal growth. Being positive also means to have self-confidence. This is important for us to deal with obstacles in all aspects no matter in our studies, work or life.
