許士芬博士體育研究中心進行「活腦健體計劃」

The Dr. Stephen Hui Research Centre for Physical Recreation and Wellness (CPRW) was awarded a grant of $5.06 million from the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) Charities Trust to offer the “Brain Invigoration and Gross Motor Activation Programme (活腦健體計劃)” (BIGMAP) to local NGOs for a period of 18 months starting from 22 February 2018.                     

BIGMAP is a centre-based programme for older adults. It provides a conglomeration of games, activities, and talks targeted at enhancing the participants’ cognitive functions, physical fitness, and healthy lifestyle awareness. The overarching goal of the project is to enhance the cognitive function and the physical fitness of older adults in Hong Kong and to prevent dementia.

The project is led by Prof. Chow Bik Chu, Director of CPRW (team leader), Prof. Frank Fu, Honorary Director of CPRW (deputy team leader), Miss Polina Cheng, Prof. Lena Fung, Miss Ip Hay Wood and Dr. Yvonne Yuan, Consultants.
