The China Studies Programme hosted a cultural exchange event on 17 February 2016 with the NLA University College (Norway) to provide international exposure for 21 China Studies students who gained an exciting and fruitful intercultural experience with the Norwegian students.
Prof. Adrian J. Bailey, Dean of Social Sciences Faculty, extended a warm welcome to the guests from Norway and exchanged souvenirs with the NLA Representative, Dr. Ole Johannes Kaland. After the ice breaking game, students from both sides involved in hot discussion on the traditional customs and myths such as Story of Lunar New Year/Christmas, Love Story and Dragon Legend. They also taught each other to sing some famous/traditional songs in their own languages. In the last session, students introduced their place of origin by postcards and presented to each other as gifts.
