The HKBU Faculty of Social Sciences (SOSC) and the Xinhua College of Sun Yat-sen University (XHC-SYSU) in Guangzhou recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a “4+1” collaborative programme. The new collaboration includes a four-year Bachelor’s degree at XHC-SYSU and a one-year Master’s programme at HKBU.

Following the signing of the MoU, outstanding XHC-SYSU students who have completed their Bachelor’s degree will be admitted onto one of SOSC’s Master’s programmes. The two parties will also implement academic exchange activities. This includes visits to faculty and school members and student exchange programmes. Through these initiatives, the two parties hope to explore and establish collaborative research and teaching partnerships.
