Department of Education Studies teams up with Caritas Family Service to provide learning experiences for secondary school students
The Department of Education Studies (EDUC) teamed up with the Caritas Hong Kong Family Service and their School Social Work Service to organise the Weave a Dream Project for the third consecutive year. The project aims to provide career development education and service learning experiences for senior secondary students.
The Weave a Dream Project Sharing Ceremony was held recently. More than 200 students from local secondary schools, their school principals and the Director and programme leaders from the Caritas Hong Kong Family Service, attended the event.
In her welcoming speech, Professor Atara Sivan, Head of EDUC shared some success stories of this collaborative project emphasising that the Department is an inclusive learning community. During the event, Guest speaker Mr Charles Ho, Global Training Manager for MTR Corporation Limited, spoke about hope and encouraged students to pursue their own dreams.
