Faculty of Social Sciences holds conference on cities, transportation and health
The Centre for China Urban and Regional Studies, the David C Lam Institute for East-West Studies and the Mainland Development Office hosted the 2019 Conference on Cities, Transportation and Health from 17 to 20 June. The event attracted around 100 participants from renowned international, local and mainland institutions.
Professor He Kebin, an academician from the China Engineering Academy and Dean of the School of Environment at Tsinghua University, delivered the keynote speech on air pollution control in mainland China. The conference programme included 14 academic presentations sessions and a total of 52 talks by scholars from different institutions. The presentations focused on a wide range of issues, including climate change and air pollution, cities and health, and transportation and health.
