Publication of a Comic on Applied Behaviour Analysis by EDUC Members

Dr. Simpson Wong, Associate Professor and his research assistant Ms. Nek Mak from the Department of Education Studies have recently published a bilingual comic titled “My Beginning Journey with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)”. This comic aims to provide readers with an introduction of the basic principles and techniques of ABA, which is well-grounded in psychological science and agreed to be an evidence-based practice (APA, 2017). Despite the popularity of ABA in North America, ABA is lesser-known or misunderstood in Hong Kong. With the valuable contribution by Ms. Emily Kwan, a seasoned practitioner of ABA, and Mr. Henry Lo, a Psychology student from the University of Surrey, the comic includes good and interesting examples of applying ABA in training children communication, social and emotional skills.
