HKBU has earned a top honour from an international award scheme for its innovative teaching and learning initiative.
“The Blue Sparrow English Poetry for Learners and Teachers” project, which developed a multi-platform poetry e-corpus to promote poetry-reading practices in schools as well as digital poetry as praxis in teacher training courses, received the Silver Award at this year’s Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) – Wharton Reimagine Education Awards, which are also known as the “Oscars of Education”. The project team was led by Dr Joshua Chan, Assistant Professor of the Department of Education Studies (EDUC), and it was composed of members from the EDUC and the Language Centre.
This project was selected from 1,100 applications spread across 16 categories at the QS-Wharton Reimagine Education Awards.
