Education scholar wins Quality Education Fund to promote school-based music curriculum for special schools

Quality Education Fund (QEF) granted Dr Marina Wong, Associate Professor of the Department of Education Studies, a funding of HK$2.6 million for promoting school-based music curriculum for special schools for children with intellectual disabilities. 
The aims of the three-year project is to enhance the professional and pedagogical content knowledge of the participating special school teachers, as well as the design of school-based adapted music curriculum so as to facilitate students with intellectual disabilities to develop their music learning outcomes through school-based adapted music curriculum. 
Dr Wong and her team will provide professional advice for three special schools to develop school-based music curriculum, as well as professional development activities to teachers, including peer observation, workshops and seminars.
