In the 12th edition Interuniversity French Speech Competition of the Pearl River Delta held on 18 March 2022, Mr. Tang Hung Kuen Darius (Year 4, European Studies - French Stream) clinched the top prize in the competition among 12 students from the universities in the Pearl River Delta.
The speech competition was one of the numerous events to celebrate the Month of the FRANCOPHONIE. Co-organised by the Consulates General of France in Hong Kong and Macao, and in Guangzhou, with the support of the Alliance française de Hong Kong, the Institute of French Language and Culture from the Catholic University of Lyon and Inflexyon, the French Intercultural Center of Lyon, it aims to enhance friendly exchanges among French-learning students in the Delta and allow them to show their mastery of the French language and their ability to make a public presentation.
