Chan Lau-yi, a Year 4 student of the Department of Government and International Studies, is among the six awardees in Hong Kong who was awarded a scholarship of HK$40,000 under the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarships scheme 2022-23.
Lau-yi is grateful for the enormous learning opportunities offered by HKBU which helped her develop her interests and personal skills, as well as explore her career development. With the quality education resources and learning opportunities provided by the Department, despite the impact of the pandemic, Lau-yi found her learning experience in HKBU rich and diversified.
Lau-yi thanks the support of the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund and the nomination of HKBU. She plans to use the scholarship in pursuing her postgraduate studies after graduation.
