The Second Global Social Science Graduate Student Conference was successfully held on Saturday 22 March 2014. The conference was organized by the Faculty Research Staff and Research Postgraduate Forum with an aim to help graduate students studying in Hong Kong, neighboring China, and beyond, to present their research, exchange ideas, network, and interact with fellow students of other universities. The first conference was held in April last year and was marked as an annual event for the Faculty thereafter. This year, 23 Masters and PhD students from seven Hong Kong and British universities presented their research papers. The topics covered ranged from work and mobility to economic restructuring; politics and international relations to education. Three Best Paper Awards (eight students submitted a paper) and six Best Presentation Awards were presented to the following winners in appreciation of their participation.
