Research Impact Fund-supported (RIF) International Symposium 2022

Followed by an Internal Research Conversation Workshop in July 2021, Asian Energy Studies Centre (AESC), Department of Geography (GEOG), David C. Lam Institute for East-West Studies (LEWI), and Department of Government and International Studies (GIS) of Hong Kong Baptist University co-organised “International Symposium on Transdisciplinary and Cross-sectoral Partnership for Smart Energy Transitions in Asian Cities cum the Launch Ceremony of the Asian Low Carbon Cities-Universities Network (ALUN)” on 20th and 21st June 2022. This symposium was one of the major events under the 3-year Research Impact Fund project. This mixed-mode symposium through the launch of ALUN has established long-term interdisciplinary research collaboration and foster students’ cross-cultural and experiential learning opportunities. It also strengthened and catalysed interdisciplinary research on low-carbon energy transitions and expand social impact through fostering collaboration across academics, governments, business and civil societies.
