A Public Seminar on “The Never-Ending Case Study: There is More in your Qualitative Research Data Than You Think!” (4 November 2015)
Prof. Eli Teram, Faculty of Social Work, Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada, delivered a public seminar on “The Never-Ending Case Study: There is More in your Qualitative Research Data Than You Think!” on 4 November 2015 for the faculty, research students and research staff from different departments and other universities. During the seminar, Prof. Teram demonstrated how qualitative data could be analysed and reanalysed. Based on the various publications he generated and a study on survivors of childhood abuse, Prof. Teram illustrated the ideas with examples related to the planning of the primary publications, consideration of new concepts and audiences, integration of independent case studies, exploring methodological issues, and writing teaching cases. There was a fruitful discussion among participants after his presentation.
In-house Seminar on “Publishing Qualitative Research-based Papers” (5 November 2015)
An in-house seminar on “Publishing Qualitative Research-based Papers” for faculty and research students of the Social Work Department was conducted on 5 November 2015. Prof. Teram, an experienced researcher with rich editorial experiences and successes in publishing lots of qualitative research articles, began with a general strategy on publishing qualitative research and lessons from his writing and editorial experiences. He further discussed with the colleagues specific strategies for moving forward with the manuscripts provided by the colleagues and also various issues related to specific papers.
