GIS students win Best Delegation Award in Asia-Pacific Model European Union

GIS student team wins Best Delegation Award 28 participants from eight universities in the region join APMEU
Government and International Studies students Joshua Tam (Year 3) and Gabriel Ha (Year 4) won the Best Delegation Award at the fourth Asia Pacific Model European Union (APMEU) with their outstanding presentation and negotiation skills.

As a Jean Monnet Project funded by the European Commission, APMEU is jointly organised by Europe Asia Policy Centre for Comparative Research of HKBU and National Centre for Research on Europe of the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.

This year, 28 participants from eight universities in the Asia–Pacific region joined APMEU, representing 14 European union member states. The topic of this year’s simulation was the “The Post-Cotonou Framework for EU-ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States) Relations”. The simulation also sheds light on migration policy caused by climate change.
