Under the epidemic, many families in society are facing different challenges. We are having many online service opportunities which can easily be searched on the Internet and on the website of the NGOs/ Community Center. We should not let epidemics dampen our love and enthusiasm. One small step for us, one giant leap for the community.
I often hear from others that volunteer services are flag selling and visiting the elderly, etc. They seldom take community action as they feel that these volunteer services are not suitable for them. In fact, various types of volunteers allow us to utilize our strengths and contribute to society according to our personal preferences. Our university provided ample and varied volunteer opportunities on- and off-campus, including Inclusive students ambassador, poster design, mental health captain, event planning, and voluntary tutoring. These are some interesting volunteer services I have participated in. There are interesting and diversified which can keep my passion for working and let me explore more possibilities. It is very important to find a suitable volunteer service for us to keep our enthusiasm and passion for community action.
During my U-life, I was fortunate to be able to play a leadership role, coordinating and leading team members to plan activities. I have benefited a lot from these valuable experiences. Not only can you use what you have learned to contribute to society, but you can also gain a lot of knowledge and skills from it. The 21st-century generic skills can be developed comprehensively throughout the process which is particularly important for our interpersonal relationships in the workplace or life.
