To celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the Faculty of Social Sciences, a series of celebratory activities will be organized in 2016. The anniversary celebration officially started on 21 January 2016 by a kick-off ceremony with the opening of the “Change and Continuity” corridor on 13/F of the Academic and Administration Building (AAB) which records the major developments and precious moments of the Faculty. On the same day, over 120 Social Sciences staff and students joined the“3H Color Run”. 3“H” stands for Home, Health and Happiness of both students and staff in the Faculty. The participants were required to run from the 3/F to 8/F of the AAB, and complete different tasks at checkpoints on 8/F-13/F before finally running down from 13/F to the Finish on 3/F.
The Faculty Cup was awarded to the Department of Physical Education based on its top 5 teams in Student and/or Mixed Group. With the highest number of participants, the Department of Physical Education was also presented the Sportsmanship Award. To celebrate the New Year and congratulate our recipients of Faculty Award Scheme for Outstanding Performance, the Faculty New Year Gathering cum Award Presentation Ceremony was held after the 3H Color Run. About 120 participants gathered to share the joyful moment, including games, roast pig cutting, etc.
